Jason Dowdy and his family moved from Oklahoma, US, to Queretaro, Mexico in June of 2023. In Oklahoma, Jason designed and sold his conceptual wooden furniture through his gallery, Skön Studio and renovated private homes. His passion is repairing, designing and building. He’s great at it, too.

When he first arrived in Queretaro, he found himself with a long list of home maintenance projects and the list just kept growing. It was very challenging to schedule local vendors and explain what he needed with limited Spanish, so he did most of the work himself. Then he realized something. What about all the other people just like him, who just don’t have the right tools or the time in their busy schedules to do their home repairs or upgrades? Homeworks QRO was born.

Since starting Homeworks QRO, a handyman service for expats, he has met so many “extranjeros” who need help with home repairs and making their new home comfortable. He has helped so many newcomers already.
